Q2 Invitation Letter Generator
Fill in the details below and download a properly formatted family-visit invitation letter as a PDF. Print it, have the inviter in China sign it by hand, and submit it with the rest of your documents.
Please read before you start
- This tool only handles formatting. The content comes entirely from what you type; we do not verify it and make no warranty as to its accuracy or truthfulness.
- The inviter in China must sign the letter by hand for it to be valid — the signature line in the generated PDF is intentionally left blank.
- Acceptance is decided by the consular authority. We cannot guarantee that the generated document will be accepted; requirements vary by consular district and by case, so check the latest official announcements yourself.
- Fill it in truthfully. Submitting false documents can lead to refusal and affect future visa applications; the applicant bears that responsibility.
- Nothing you type here is stored. The details are used only to generate this one PDF — no database, no logs — and are discarded from server memory immediately afterwards.
A note on language: the invitation letter itself is written in Chinese, which is what consulates expect. Please enter names, addresses and dates the way they should appear in the letter — Chinese characters for the inviter's name and address, and the applicant's name exactly as printed in the passport.
About the Q2 invitation letter
Who issues it? Your relative in mainland China. The Q2 visa is for short visits to Chinese citizens, or to foreign nationals with Chinese permanent residence.
What about the signature? The signature line in the PDF is deliberately blank. Print it and have the inviter sign by hand, then scan or photograph it for submission — consulates do not accept an electronic signature here.
What else is needed? Usually a copy of the inviter's ID, the applicant's passport, the visa application form and a photo. Requirements vary by consular district and by case — always check the latest announcement from the consulate handling your application.
Can I leave the email blank? Yes. If you leave it empty, that line simply does not appear in the letter.
Want us to check it for you?
This form is just one part of a visa application. If you'd like us to review it, or to handle the whole application for you, leave your details and we will get in touch. This is optional.
